  • Smoky Bay Oysters

    The West Coast of the Eyre Peninsula, known as the Seafood Frontier, is famous as the source for some of the world’s best seafood and Smoky Bay oysters. Nestled just south of Ceduna, in the district labelled ‘The Oyster Capital of Australia’, is where you will find Smoky Bay oyster farms.

  • Ceduna Museum

    The museum is located in Park Tce and is opened Monday to Saturday. Built in 1912, this was the first school in Ceduna and was opened in 1981 as a museum. On display are historic items from pioneering families, antiques and restored farm machinery.

    Features are the Maralinga Room with artefacts from the 1950s Maralinga era and the British Atomic Program, and the Medical room dedicated to the Bush Church Aid Society. Make sure you see the cast of a basking shark found at Fowlers Bay in 1914.

  • Arts Ceduna

    Arts Ceduna, situated at the Ceduna Arts and Culture Centre (CAACC) sells artwork on behalf of at least 136 artists in the Far West region of South Australia. Arts Ceduna opened its doors in July 2001 and the development of this business has been a great achievement for the Aboriginal community in Ceduna and the Far West. Currently Arts Ceduna is one of the programs managed by the Ceduna Aboriginal Corporation (CAC), providing economic and artistic development opportunities to artists in the CACs' outreach communities such as Oak Valley, Yalata, Scotdesco and Koonibba.

  • Thevenard Wharf Lookout

    Thevenard is a deep-sea port exporting grain, salt, mineral sands and gypsum. Small fleets of fishing boats also share the bay. At the lookout you will find monuments and information regarding the history of the port and special landmarks

  • Far West Coast

    The Far West Coast offers spectacular beaches and cliffs bordered by isolated bushland. It is an uncrowded and uniquely different place to live or holiday. One of its main attractions are the whales that visit fowlers bay and the head of the bight.
